Sarah Tennyson combines her organizational psychology background with over 15 years’ experience of working with large global organizations in more than 20 countries. Her clients include tier one investment banks, global banks and asset managers, insurance, rating agencies, advertising, media, technology and non-profits.
Sarah works with C-level, senior executives and middle managers in three areas: during career transitions, to develop specific skills and as a coach on the leader’s agenda. Her coaching helps people step into full ownership of a new role, define their leadership style and goals, communicate more effectively and consider multiple perspectives in their decision making. She works with people on specific areas of personal development, such as assertiveness, communication, influence, executive presence, networking, stakeholder management, presentation, self-management and productivity. When coaching senior leaders Sarah helps them clarify their vision, develop their team leadership, leverage their strengths and overcome inner blocks.
Sarah has provided team development, team building, team facilitation, and process consultancy for over 10 years.
Background & Approach
Prior to establishing her independent coaching practice, Sarah was Senior Director at Moody’s Analytics where she led a global team of consultants within the client-facing training business. Sarah began her career with ENB Consulting, a UK-based firm providing training for banks worldwide.
Sarah’s holds an MSc in Organizational Psychology and BSc (Hons) in Psychology. She is certified to use cognitive ability and personality assessments including Lumina Spark, Leader, 360, Sales, and Team, NEO-PI, MBTI and DiSC. Her commitment to ongoing professional development includes regular group and individual Supervision.
Sarah is the Regional Co-Chair of the Association for Coaching New York and has been a Member of the Metro New York Association of Applied Psychology since 2015.
When not working, you will find Sarah outdoors; running, cycling or on a boat. She lives in Manhattan with her husband Richard, residing there since 2015 after relocating from the UK.
